Nukkad Ki Chai #artdillichai Sunday 14 March

This tweetup we successfully practiced the maxim “Never Go To The Same Place Twice”. None of the attendees had been to the Art.i cafe at Scindia House, CP, Delhi .

Thanks to the un-organizer @newexperiments and delhidreams for the location and it was a pleasure to have some of the co-founders of this group continue to be a solid support -  @vineetsamson and @sidpandey. Have already met @xyxxy many times, so I consider him “family” now.

It was a pleasant surprise to meet for the the FIRST TIME AdityaNayak @arpanatenbake @nsgautam @kp1200 @karmicthoughts and Aniruddha & Kushagra.

@saif_raza and @Nehachaplot bravely made it to the venue before a call made them go to handle an emergency.

Of course, the star of the evening was Akshat Jain, @akshatfoto, who is representing Asia at Cannes. I got to use his Nikon D 80 and some attendees queued-up to take tips from him.

@vineetsamson described TWITTER as a Tea Shop at a corner – “Nukkad Ki Chai” where we exchange bytes of information on a variety of topics.

We did discuss Arpan’s foray in developing applications for SOX – Sarbanes–Oxley Act,  @xyxxy‘s “3 Idiots” moment: Declaring to join a Hedge Fund latest by March 14 2020.

Some more discussions on photography, Social Causes, Ad Agencies, Lawyers, Don Corleone and many more.

Just Read Seth Godin’s latest post Books you don’t need in a place you can’t find. I tweeted about it and here is a longer excerpt:

We had a similar experience at Art.i and come to think of it, THIS GROUP is turning out be a TRIBE that SHOWS UP as a “place, an attitude, an approach to an afternoon”.

Sips of #chabartweetup

When 4 pm was scheduled as the time for the #chabartweetup, I (@ankitchadha) knew I would not be able to make it since there were theatre rehearsals to attend.  But then, meeting people and knowing them is something that I have always loved. Moreover, illness had kept me from participating in the CCD tweetup.

On reaching at 1745, it appeared that the group was done with conversations and all set to disperse. However, just meeting them all was exciting for me.

@newexperiments “I am not organizing” was the only person I had met before.  (as the host @prii13 bunked)

Then, I had the pleasure to meet @vineetsamson (Sir, I found out. Waiting for Godot is by Samuel Beckett)

@amarsrivastava did some good social media marketing. Oho.. promotion nahi.. he did some Digging.. of information from @simplyarun (70 cyclists on Nilgiris: WOW)

The open platform of @simplyarun is simply aahsome.

@saritapacheco joined me in explaining the current street theare scenario on Delhi (with the DU link that we had)

Had heard about @delhidreams from @priyanigam. Read his poem once as well but did not get much time to interact with him. While he was not audible enough, replies by @vineetsamson revealed that he was cracking some jokes.

Was nice meeting @milcom_ (did he walk from AutoExpo to Cha Bar?), @rahulanand

And, a small poem dedicated to all those whose handles I do not remember..  (anu, pooja15) wil slowly catch up

Binary Day Tweetup

Seeing many tweets today about 11-01-10 being a Binary day, there was this late realization that the Tweetup on 10-01-10 also happened to be on a Binary day.

Was fun meeting all the tweeps : @ankitchadha @milcom_ @simplyarun @anurana321 @aditipathak @delhidreams @poojadwivedi15 @rahulanand @saritapacheco @newexperiments @vineetsamson @amarsrivastava

A lot of wit from @vineetsamson, @amarsrivastava, deadly PJs from @delhidreams, the experience sharing by @simplyarun about his cycling trip down south, discussions about theater etc were the highlights of the tweetup after I turned up.

A lot of leg pulling went on. Pick of the lot being Vineet’s looks being compared to that of Chetan Bhagat. @milcom_ (Yours truly) was asked to change the handle to @idontknow by @delhidreams. Not happening any time soon.

Discussions also happened about making the next tweetup a Heritage Walk or something similar. Would be great if that happens.

Had a fun time “listening” to all the other tweeps talk. Had a valid reason to do so too. If everyone did the talking, who would do the listening?

Will leave a lot for the other authors to fill in as well.

Hoping for more fun filled tweetups.
